Our story
We Don't Just Install Rainwater Systems. We Live on One.
RainRise Water and Power was founded by people who made the commitment to full water independence — and spent years learning what it actually takes to make it work reliably.
Real Experience. Not Just Theory.
Most water system companies sell equipment. We built our expertise the harder way — by operating properties that run entirely on harvested rainwater, through East Tennessee's dry summers, heavy spring rains, and everything in between.
That experience taught us things no textbook covers: how systems behave under real seasonal pressure, where designs fail in the field, what homeowners actually need versus what looks good on paper. It's the foundation of every system we design.
When we started RainRise Water and Power, the goal was straightforward — bring that real-world knowledge to East Tennessee homeowners, farmers, and property owners who want genuine water independence, not just a tank in the backyard.
Our mission
Helping East Tennessee Capture Its Greatest Natural Resource
To help East Tennessee capture one of its greatest natural resources — rain — by providing dependable, sustainable water systems that protect families, reduce environmental impact, and create long-term water independence.
Honest Advice
We tell you what your property actually needs — not what generates the largest invoice. If a simpler solution works, we'll recommend it.
Real-World Knowledge
Our recommendations come from years of living on and operating rainwater systems, not just manufacturer specifications.
Custom, Not Cookie-Cutter
Every property is different. We design systems for your specific land, rainfall patterns, and water needs — no templates.
Long-Term Partnership
We're not here for a single installation. We stand behind every system with ongoing maintenance, support, and honest guidance for the life of your system.
Environmental Responsibility
Rainwater harvesting reduces municipal demand, manages stormwater runoff, and builds resilience. We're proud to do work that's genuinely good for the land.
Local Expertise
We know East Tennessee — the terrain, the rainfall patterns, the regulations, and the communities. We're your neighbors, not a national franchise.
Why rainwater
East Tennessee Gets Plenty of Rain. Most of It Goes to Waste.
East Tennessee receives an average of 45–55 inches of rainfall per year — one of the highest in the continental United States. A properly designed system can capture thousands of gallons from a single storm event. That water, properly filtered and treated, is clean, soft, and free of the chlorine, fluoride, and minerals common in municipal and well water. For homeowners, farms, vacation rentals, and off-grid properties, it represents genuine independence from utility costs, supply disruptions, and infrastructure limitations.
